El Bosque Studies

We’ve worked with a diverse team of talented and passionate people to learn about the unique characteristics and natural inhabitants of El Bosque. These are just a few examples of the numerous studies we completed to guide our vision and master plan design decisions.

Topography

Topography studies helped us identify the best space with ocean view. We located our Sunset amenity here for our residents to gather and enjoy that moment of the day together.

Hydrology

Understanding water natural flows was essential to determine how to best manage stormwater to protect the homesites and slow-down runoff. Our streambeds were strategically engineered to achieve these goals.

Tree Coverage

We have tagged, identified and categorized each tree in El Bosque. Each architect receives this information before they take on the challenge of locating each house in a responsive way not only to the topography of the site, but also to preserve trees that are essential to maintaining the health of the system.

Climate Conditions

Protecting our residents’ homes from the extreme climate conditions we have in Nosara is essential. Our design team does an analysis of sun radiation and breeze direction to best locate each house, utilize louvers when necessary and maximize passive cooling of the structures.
